Amazing food. Super service. Ambience is washed when they are busy but I hear they got a bigger building. Just really good food!!

Food was amazing, and the portions were huge. I have a lot of dietary restrictions, so I ended up with a salad, which is usually disappointing. But the chicken was so flavorful and cooked so well, that I was extremely happy with my order. The service was amazing. Ambiance was a little meh, but the food made up for it.

This place is really a Baton Rouge hidden gem, although the outside of the building is not much to be desired, the inside is warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly & efficient when we go eat here. It doesn't take long for the food to come out to the table. The Chicken Parm meal is what I get every time I go there for special occasions. Best Chicken Parm I've had at any Italian restaurant so far. It is honestly a feel-good Italian meal, plus it feeds two people/doubles as a leftover meal! It really is worth it for the price its at. The portions are very generous as well. Also, speaking as an overall garlic girl, the Garlic Knots are visually creative & they're so flavorful! Definitely try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

I love Italiana food, I dare say it's my favorite cuisine. But, I feel like the Italian scene in BR has diminished...up until trying this spot! It's super small and definitely seems to be a neighborhood staple, so when you walk in you feel only slightly out of place. THIS FEELING GOES AWAY quickly though with nice waiters throughout the spot. We had garlic bites for apps; then lasagna and the shrimp florentine ravioli. You get so much food for the price I had double leftovers. I'll definitely be coming back!!

My favorite hole in the wall Italian place in town. My favorite item is the Guido sandwich. It never fails. All other food items my wife and I have had are always stellar.

Highly recommend! I've passed this restaurant so many times! I wished we would have tried it sooner! The food is great! The prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was very good! We went during the week for supper. It was bigger inside than I expected. Everything was delicious! They seem to do a lot of takeout business. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome new find! I moved from New Jersey about 3 years ago and have been searching for an Italian restaurant that tasted and felt like home since. We ordered meatballs as an app that my mother would be proud of and for entrees we ordered the eggplant and the primavera, perfection. I was so happy I ordered an extra lasagna to take home for my husband and he also loved it! The service was really great as well. We'll be regulars :)

Bistro Italia

If you’re in Baton Rouge, LA, and craving a taste of Italy with a twist, Bistro Italia at 11903 Coursey Blvd is your spot. This place isn’t just another restaurant—it’s a 2024 Travellers’ Choice winner that’s dishing out authentic Italian vibes with a side of steakhouse and seafood flair. I popped in recently, and let me tell you, it’s a cozy, family-style gem that’s got something for everyone. Here’s why Bistro Italia stands out and why you should swing by for a meal soon.

Bistro Italia Blends Italian Classics with Fresh Flair
At Bistro Italia, the menu’s a love letter to Italian cuisine, but it’s got some surprises up its sleeve. You’ve got your pasta and pizza, sure, but they’re also serving up juicy steaks and fresh seafood that’ll make your mouth water. I went for their spaghetti carbonara—creamy, rich, and made with local produce—and it was next-level good. They’ve got options for breakfast, dinner, and even late-night drinks, plus vegetarian friendly, vegan options, and gluten free options to keep everyone happy. It’s fresh, it’s flavorful, and it’s all made daily.

Bistro Italia Creates a Warm, Family-Style Hangout
Walking into Bistro Italia feels like stepping into a big Italian family’s dining room. The family style setup, complete with highchairs and comfy seating, makes it perfect for groups or a chill night out. I loved how the staff treated me like one of their own—super welcoming and quick with a smile. The full bar adds a fun twist, with wine and beer flowing to pair with your meal. Plus, it’s wheelchair accessible, so everyone can join the party. It’s cozy but lively, just the way a bistro should be.

Bistro Italia Shines with Authentic Vibes and Local Love
What really hooks you at Bistro Italia is the authenticity. They’re pulling from local Baton Rouge produce to keep everything fresh, and you can taste the difference. My seafood dish—a perfectly cooked shrimp scampi—had that just-caught vibe you don’t find everywhere. A 2024 Travellers’ Choice nod backs up their rep, and it’s easy to see why. They’ve got that Italian soul with a Louisiana twist, making every bite feel like a little celebration of both cultures.

Bistro Italia Caters to Every Craving and Occasion
This place is built for flexibility—whether you’re rolling in for a hearty breakfast, a late-night bite, or just drinks at the bar, Bistro Italia delivers. I saw folks making reservations for a big dinner, and the table service kept everything smooth. They accept credit cards, so no fumbling for cash, and the whole setup’s got a polished yet relaxed feel. A recent study from the National Restaurant Association says 65% of diners love spots that adapt to their schedules, and this bistro nails that with its all-hours appeal.

Bistro Italia Beckons You to Savor the Experience
Here’s the deal: Bistro Italia is where fresh food and good vibes collide. From the Italian classics to the steak and seafood twists, it’s a spot that’s got heart and flavor in spades. Swing by 11903 Coursey Blvd, give them a buzz at (225) 227-2695, and dive in. The semantic link between authentic eats, Baton Rouge’s local scene, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this place a standout.

Next time you’re in Baton Rouge and want a meal that’s tasty and feels like home, head to Bistro Italia. It’s the kind of spot where you can dig into a plate of pasta, sip a glass of wine, and just soak in the moment. Trust me, one visit and you’ll get why this place is a local fave—go treat yourself!
